….sneaking in today with a bright and sunny start and a message from the meterologists that there are warm dry days ahead… who know eh?
Meanwhile I have plans for some gardening and some volunteering work as well as hopes for doing a couple of courses on functional yoga (anatomy and stuff) and Ayurvedic ways to wellness. They have been sitting patiently in my inbox waiting for me to settle down after moving away from the day job and it has been surprisingly difficult to spot the moments to get stuck in…
Transitins are interesting times and I am working on the yogic approach to being an observer to how things ebb and flow during this transition for me – to avoid, where I can, being so immersed in the experience, thoughts and feelings that I lose the perspective on what is happening. Easier said than done for sure – but there have been some light bulb moments when I have been able to step back a bit on the emotional engagement that limits the ability to see what’s happening and what options there are for responding (not reacting). Love it when that happens.
So the measure of days is to top and tail with some yoga – often strength building in the morning and yin in the evenings to give a balance and in between there is a mish mash of things that have to be done, things that ought to be done and things that don’t need doing at all but would be fun and always a walk with and time with the darling Flytee…12 yesterday bless her…
The stand out takeaway for me is that I like giggling and the day job had pretty much shifted me away from much of that – for a whole host of jolly good reasons. So, I plan to giggle and reflect on giggling wherever and whenever I can just now and let’s see where that takes me. I suspect that with a better giggle balance I will be more able to do what I love most which is being with and helping people one way or another – as the old school motto said ‘as one that serveth’…pompous or bit of a laugh – you decide…
