so we recently had our CEO conference for local CA services and were in Nottingham at a conference centre on the Uni campus – it was a brilliant day with so many fab people, great ideas, fantastic ‘can do’ approaches and quite a bit of hugging and laughing- all in all highly excellent.
We stayed in a cottage on a working farm nearby-ish and it was quite remarkable. Why? what made it special?
Well, couple of things really – the farm had sheep being shorn when we arrived which was rather special and the chickens, guinea fowl and peacocks ran free – yup guinea fowl and peacocks just strolled past the window and seemed quite unperturbed by us – including Flytee..and pheasants – forgot them..oops
The second and really special thing was that there was a ruined Abbey from the 1300s in the garden. Yup a real alive ruin in the garden. I was able to pop there in the mornings and evenings for a spot of meditation and to revel in the sense that monks had gathered there for the same purpose some 700 years ago – whaaaaaaaat?
Here are some of the pics..

Sounds brilliant Pippa ❤️
