Here we are then…..

As usual, not at all sure where the time has gone but suffice to say it has been a busy family time since last summer.

Simon and I were Deal based for the best part of four months and had an opportunity to do some much needed maintenance on Dragon Cottage – much of which had been delayed during to the shenanigans of the pandemic.

It also gave us a chance to spend time with young Starry Eyes – the working cocker spanner who is utterly enchanting as a doggo.. Obvs we also were with Poppy and Steve who will fully understand that my attention sits first with young Eyes and then moves to them and the delight of being around with them in such a delightful seaside town. We found the ease of walking to nearly everything suited us very well- ironically not including the dog walk where a drive was really needed to get to a good running free location.

We are back in Claygate for a while now and enjoying Facetime, calls and messages to the beach. Tbh Eyes in not much cop with the keyboard so flow of comms is severely limited but we manage v well with the hoomans using these systems.

Our latest delight has been to enhance the shed so that I can now do crafty things here as well as work on the line as we pensionser call it. I have the sewing maching set up all the time now so can quickly work on a small project rather than annexing the dining room and needing to clear it all away for meals or risk (and yes it has happened) pasta sauce on the curtains (work in progress)…Obvs the first and most important thing was to find the right space for Flyte’s bed and fortunately it is in the same place as before .. phew..

So all in all lots to look forward to this summer – balancing some consultancy stuff, running the holiday let, gardenning and crafting – building up ideas on aromatherapy in particular… watch this space….
