Peaceful or what?

Well, will you look at this…

As I cleared away that last of the Xmas decorations I was taken by the composure of Buddha next to Santa Claus- what serenity of demenour on the part of Buddha and what kindliness in Santa’s face. Not sure what it tells us but I liked the juxtaposition and all the positive vibes that they each gave off – nothing nasty, negative, unkind or unhelpful from either of them..

Lovely to be back on the blog after a pause for massive projects at work which have now concluded and I have reduced my hours in search of a better balance between work and life – going well so far and today I have the delight of doing the tax return during office hours without having to take holiday for the treat .. yay…Fortunately Flyte is quietly snoozin the dog bed here in the shed to I have some help with the return – phew…

The sun is shining the back of the house and the stars were so bright in the early morning sky when I was making my pot of tea that it made me want to learn their names and understand the shapes they make – so watch this space for progress on that.. (where is the Children’s Encyclopedia that mum had when she was little? Is it still on the bottom shelf in the bedroom to the left of the fire place? I shall have to explore…)

and in that exploration I shall seek to channel both my innner Buddha and inner Santa with calm, composure, kindness and all things positive – let’s see how that goes eh?
